Carolina Vs. Carolina Who is the “real” Carolina?

As the heat wave comes to a close, it’s almost fall time in the queen city of Charlotte, and you know what that means… Tailgating! Fans have been waiting all year for college kickoffs. Walking around Charlotte, you can already sense the building excitement as tailgaters and football enthusiasts alike begin planning the first college football tailgate of the year. To kick the excitement up another notch, The Bank of America Stadium, right here in Charlotte, will be hosting the North Carolina Tar Heels vs. South Carolina Gamecocks as the season opener for both teams. This age old rivalry of North vs. South sets up the question, Which Carolina is better? The game takes place September 3, 2015, and kickoff is at 6! The two teams will battle for bragging rights while fighting to answer the question of who the “real” Carolina is.

As a real estate agent, this isn’t the only time the “which Carolina is better” question get’s addressed. Real estate in the Ballantyne and South Charlotte areas are so close to the South Carolina state line, I often have buyers who are trying to figure out the answer to the question which Carolina should I “shop” for real estate in? While there are great advantages to both Carolinas, it can depend on personal preference. The two states offer different tax rates, school systems, and commute times; however, both Carolinas share wonderful neighborhoods and unique benefits. For those that just cannot decide between the two, there are superb neighborhoods like Bridge Hampton and Firethorne Country Club that offer homes in both North Carolina and South Carolina! If you are looking to determine which state is better for you, give me a call and we can explore the Carolinas together to determine the “real” Carolina that will win your fan favorite vote.
